Trae Young and his Hawks feast on Cavaliers who are not going to "parties"

Losing only 3 out of the first 20 games of a season is a great success, but having two of them in the NBA Cup 2024 slightly tarnishes the start of the year for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their last two defeats have been consecutive and against the same team, the Atlanta Hawks, who have found the formula to defeat the Ohio team.

The destinies of sports are inscrutable, and things that seemingly make no sense turn into reality. To think that a mid-level team like the Atlanta Hawks has won two games in a row against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are the great dominators of today's NBA, is impressive. Even more so to see that they have done it consecutively and are in a position to challenge the Bulls and the Celtics for a playoff spot.

Proving himself as a player for big moments, Trae Young has shone again, supported by De'Andre Hunter and Jalen Johnson. There is plenty of talent in these Atlanta Hawks to be a contender for important things, but their defensive passivity at certain times condemns them. It has not been the case in the two matches against a Cleveland Cavaliers team unable to display their best version against the Georgia team, bidding farewell to an NBA Cup 2024 in which they seemed like major favorites.
